Dr. Julia Anne Rosekrans, M.D., 67, of Captain Cook died Aug. 17 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Greene, N.Y., she was a retired pediatric emergency physician, former assistant professor of Mayo Medical School and consultant to Mayo Clinic Department of Pediatric Medicine, founding member of Unitarian Universalists of West Hawaii, member of Aloha Quilters, and was active in the study of Hawaiian language and culture studies as well as book design and DVD production for Na Wai Iwi Ola Foundation.
